Read articleAnthony is the Contracts Manager in our responsive maintenance department. He helped establish the department in 2015, and now we have almost all local authorities and housing groups in the region as our clients.
In 1991, he began his journey with Deerness Fencing Ltd as an apprentice in fencing. After undergoing two rigorous years of training, he gained the necessary skills to work independently as a proficient fencing operative. Despite leaving the company on several occasions, he always found his way back to Deerness Fencing & Landscaping. In 2013, he was selected to work on the fencing replacement project for North Tyneside Council. This experience allowed him to further develop his operational management skills, which resulted in his promotion to working foreman in the newly established Repairs and Maintenance department in 2015. His hard work and dedication paid off, and he was eventually promoted to supervisor before being appointed as the Operation Manager for the entire fencing department in 2020. Although he chose to step down and return to his roots as a fencer, senior management acknowledged his invaluable expertise and skills, leading them to invite him back to the R&M department .
Deerness Fencing & Landscaping have worked in Partnership with North Tyneside Council, carrying out planned fencing works for the past 10 years with an average annual value of £1,200,000. We supported the client with budget planning which involved fencing surveys of individual properties.
