Richard has been a valuable member of Deerness Fencing and Landscaping for more than 18 years. He started as a Quantity Surveyor and worked his way up the ranks to become the Commercial Director, showcasing his dedication and success in the company.

About Richard

Richard’s responsibility through his time with Deerness Fencing and Landscaping has been quite vast and varied and has worked through Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Operations and responsible for all commercial activities within the business. Richard’s ethos has always been to develop and provide chances to his colleagues who have started off as an apprentice or assistant, and likes to ‘grow’ the staff, to which today is very successful and the team Richard has around him have all been promoted within the business whether it’s from Assistant Quantity Surveyors/Estimator or Fencing Operatives, to which Richard has developed the team to understand the aspects of the Construction Industry.

Richard’s overall responsibility is to ensure that the company accounts are reported, and ensure that all debt within the business is collected, and overall responsible for Commercials, Estimating, Procurement, & Office Support, along with ensuring the business is compliant to HR regulations.
